Lisa Witter, LPC

Connection, calm, confidence with my proven method of effective parent coaching.

Hello! I’m Lisa

Licensed Psychotherapist, LPC & Parent Coach.

I’ve been working professionally as a child/family counselor, with infants, grade school kids, teens and parents since 1998. I focus on helping parents strengthen connection and communication with their children- of any age. From this, I work to help parents develop a secure attachment with their children. Once this is established, children, teens, young adults, feel more self confident, calm and capable.

Parents need specific skills to foster cooperation, respect and confidence. In parent coaching, I draw from many trainings with experts in the field, along with two decades of experience and being a mother myself.

My Approach & Values

My main philosophy is that we all have an awake, brilliant, beautiful spirit that is available at any point to shine through. Sometimes clouds roll in and we need support to reconnect with the light within ourselves and our family. I see my role as helping you clear the clouds so the light can shine and you, and your child(ren) can once again feel clear, whole, and fulfilled.

I see parenting like gardening. You can love and care for the garden all day, but you also need specific skills to help the garden grow in all types of weather. I can do an excellent job at giving you essential skills. This will clear away the confusion and doubt, so you can create a clear, wise, path for your family.

"Oh my goodness, it's been relieving to not have the frequent tantrums, yelling (by all of us!) or defiance. Instead we have clear ways to encourage our daughter and also set boundaries to give her a sense of consistency.
