It works. Why it’s effective:
Get success from years of my research, experience and seeing what actually works in everyday parenting situations and families.
We will come up with priorities, goals, practices that serve the whole family to have less power struggles and challenges. Enjoy greater confidence, respect and cooperation with your child, teen or young adult.
I first meet with the parent(s) to decide on the best treatment plan. Often the changes parents make are enough to create the lasting change for calmer, more cooperative and respectful kids/teens.
We will look at the questions around, Am I doing this right? Am I doing enough? Why in the world does my child do what he/she does ( aggression, acting out, defiance and anxious behaviors) or doesn’t do (like cooperate, listen)? Then, we will develop solutions to the struggles.
When you communicate with your child at the foundational level of what they need for secure attachment, your child will quickly become a team player. Cooperation naturally arises from feeling connected, with positive attention, that targets your child’s exact needs.
Parents learn skills to help children, teen and young adults with these struggles:
- Argumentative, parent-child conflict
- Moodiness, irritability, anger, sadness
- ADHD, sensory processing disorders
- Anxiety: Fearful, overly shy, phobias, perfectionism
I use evidence based parenting techniques from world renowned centers including the Yale Parenting Center, UCLA and Harvard Children’s Center. Most importantly, I bring the wisdom of knowing what actually works in real families and how to bring the research into a successful, cohesive plan for your family.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions are generally needed?
I require a 3-6 month commitment to the work. I have found anything less only gives temporary results and doesn’t get to the heart of what’s really under the struggles for the family. With an ongoing commitment and dedication to doing the homework between sessions, every family achieves long term positive changes.
Should it be just myself, or should both parents be there via zoom/phone?
Most parents choose to be there together, but because of scheduling difficulties, sometimes just one parent will be at the session. That parent will then teach the other parent what was covered in session.
What if the other parent doesn’t agree with this parenting style, can it still be effective?
Honestly, because these parenting techniques are effective yet very clear, almost all parents are relieved to have a common ground from which to parent. Even if you’ve been disagreeing with your co-parent in the past, these simple and straightforward skills can be easily tailored to various parenting styles.
Don’t you need to meet my child to understand the problem he/she is having at home or school?
After working with hundreds of children and parents, I understand the core of most problems families are struggling with when they come to see me. I give parents tools to transform the struggle.
Luckily, parents can have a huge impact on their child’s/teen’s struggles with daily strategies for success.
